Hours: Monday to Thursday 07.30am - 16.30pm Friday 07.00-13.30pm
Salary: £15.00 per hour

We are seeking a dedicated Soldering Technician to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing precise soldering operations to assemble electronic components and circuit boards, ensuring high-quality standards and adherence to safety protocols. Duties
- Execute soldering tasks on a variety of electronic assemblies using surface mount technology (SMT) and through-hole components with precision and consistency.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and soldering equipment to assemble, repair, and modify electronic circuits.
- Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automated or semi-automated soldering processes when applicable.
- Inspect completed work for quality assurance, verifying connections, solder joints, and component placement according to specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety standards and best practices in electronics manufacturing.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to troubleshoot issues related to assembly or soldering defects.
- Follow detailed work instructions, technical drawings, and schematics to ensure accurate assembly procedures.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in soldering techniques within electronics manufacturing or related fields.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and surface mount technology (SMT) assembly methods.
- Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and their application in automated manufacturing processes.
- Strong electrical experience combined with mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting and assembly tasks.
- Familiarity with electrical components, circuit diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Ability to work accurately under deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
- Mechanical aptitude with experience handling various assembly tools in a fast-paced environment.
