Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistant to join our team. Duties
- Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility support
- Support the implementation of personalised care plans tailored to individual needs
- Monitor and record health conditions, reporting any concerns to senior staff
- Help with meal preparation and feeding where necessary
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards within the care environment
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Assist with medication administration as directed by healthcare professionals
- Support clients with mobility and transfers using appropriate techniques and equipment
- Document care activities accurately using IT systems where required
Skills
- Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is advantageous
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
- Strong IT skills for maintaining accurate records and documentation
- Excellent communication skills to interact empathetically with clients, families, and team members
- Valid driving licence is desirable for roles involving home visits or community-based support
- Knowledge of care plans and procedures to deliver personalised care effectively
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to support vulnerable individuals
- Organised approach to managing multiple responsibilities efficiently
