Overview
Noted as one of the UK's top tech enterprises by E2E and GPTW, Nephos is a data enablement business. We help enterprise organisations across Financial Services, Insurance, and other regulated sectors build and run real data capability — through professional and managed services that make governance, AI readiness, and regulatory compliance stick.
We're not a strategy consultancy. We're not a technology reseller. We sit in the space between the two: we build the programmes others only advise on, and we run the functions that vendors only install. Our clients are large, complex organisations with serious data problems and the budget to solve them.
At Nephos Technologies, our values guide the behaviours of how we strive to develop our company, engage with our clients, and support the development of our staff. At its heart, our values can be summed in three words: Innovation, Integrity, and Independence.
About the role
We’re looking for a Technical Lead with data governance and data management expertise to drive enterprise-scale implementations of modern data discovery, privacy, and governance platforms (including BigID and adjacent technologies).
This role sits at the intersection of data engineering, governance, and privacy, where you’ll take ownership of designing and delivering solutions across complex, regulated environments. You’ll act as the technical authority and delivery lead, shaping strategy while remaining close to the technology.
The Senior Delivery Specialist is a delivery leader responsible for driving complex delivery engagements, mentoring team members, and ensuring high‑quality, predictable client outcomes.
This role reports to the Director of Delivery.
Role responsibilities
As the Senior Delivery Specialist, you will:
- Lead delivery execution for complex engagements or high‑risk delivery streams.
- Be accountable for delivery outcomes, including quality, timeliness, predictability, and rework reduction.
- Provide delivery leadership across multiple workstreams where required.
- Lead the design, implementation, and optimisation of complex solutions, including configuration, integration, and onboarding/offboarding of data sources.
- Manage and oversee the delivery lifecycle, ensuring seamless execution, on-time delivery, and high-quality outcomes.
- Ensure implemented solutions are delivered in a manner that supports long‑term operational serviceability.
- Identify and address challenges proactively, implementing continuous improvement strategies to optimise solutions and ensure long-term client success.
- Act as a bridge across teams, fostering alignment between technical, business and client stakeholders.
- Mentor junior delivery specialists, sharing knowledge and best practices to enhance team capability and delivery standards.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive solution documentation, delivery artefacts, and lessons learned to ensure high-quality service for current and future engagements.
- Collaborate with consulting to ensure solution intent is preserved through execution.
Technical Skills/Experience
- 5+ years’ experience in delivery leadership, senior implementation, or professional services delivery roles.

- Strong stakeholder management.
- Experience in leading teams and projects.
- Professional Services or consulting experience:
- Leading technical sessions, workshops, and client engagements.
- Ability to troubleshoot and optimise performance in live environments.
- Excellent communication skills:
- Capable of translating complex technical concepts for diverse audiences including executives and technical teams.
Advantageous Skills
- Focused certification on a specific product (BigID) or advanced use case within our solution vendor’s portfolio.
- DAMA / CDMP certification or experience at the Professional level.
- Demonstrable experience of working at a detailed level with a particular technology, product, or solution area.
- Experience of advanced troubleshooting, optimisation, and integration topics.
Other
