Highmore Hedgehogs Nursery is looking for an enthusiastic, experienced and dedicated Nursery Manager to lead our friendly and supportive team. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate early years professional who is committed to providing outstanding care and education for children and creating a positive environment for both children and staff.
About the Role
As Nursery Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the nursery, ensuring that high standards of care, safeguarding and education are consistently maintained. You will inspire and support the staff team whilst building positive relationships with children, parents and carers.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the nursery team effectively.
- Ensure the nursery operates in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and all relevant legislation.
- Promote a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment for all children.
- Maintain high standards of safeguarding, health and safety and compliance.
- Support staff development through training, supervision and performance management.
- Build strong relationships with parents, carers and external professionals.
- Manage occupancy levels and contribute to the continued growth and success of the nursery.
- Ensure excellent standards of care and learning are delivered at all times.
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
- Has previous experience working within an Early Years setting.
- Has experience in a leadership or management role (Nursery Manager or Deputy Manager experience desirable).
- Has an excellent understanding of the EYFS, safeguarding and Ofsted requirements.
- Is passionate about delivering high-quality childcare and education.
- Has excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills.
- Is committed to supporting and developing others.
