We have an exciting new vacancy for a Conference & Event Executive to join our team at The Meon Valley Hotel & Country Club. This 113-bedroom Hotel is set in 225 wooded acres with plenty of amenities including a swimming pool, a spa and a gym, with good motorway access to commute to nearby cities like Southampton and Portsmouth.

Your duties will include:
- Handling Conference & Events enquiries via telephone and email, providing a professional and responsive service to clients.
- Planning and coordinating conferences, meetings, events and functions, ensuring all client requirements are communicated clearly to the operational team.
- Managing events from the initial enquiry through to completion, ensuring all details are accurately recorded and delivered to the required standard.
- Preparing and maintaining accurate event documentation, ensuring all administration is completed thoroughly and kept up to date.
- Booking and attending sales meetings with prospective clients.
- Conducting show rounds of the hotel and event facilities for potential clients, showcasing what the hotel has to offer.
- Liaising with clients and internal departments to ensure event requirements are understood and delivered effectively.
- Supporting the Conference & Events team with upselling opportunities and maximising event revenue where appropriate.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have a minimum of 2 years' relevant experience within Conference & Events, hospitality, banqueting or event operations.
- Have strong event management and organisational skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple events and priorities effectively.
- Have excellent communication, negotiation and customer service skills, with confidence when dealing with clients and internal teams.
- Be highly organised and efficient, with excellent attention to detail.
- Be confident using Microsoft Office and able to maintain accurate records and event documentation.
