Vintage Cast Iron Radiators is a family run business specialising in the restoration and sale of traditional cast iron radiators. We are proud to have worked on projects for prestigious clients including Buckingham Palace and Leicester Cathedral, and we're looking for a practical and enthusiastic Workshop Assistant to join our team.
The Role
This is a hands on workshop role where you'll help restore cast iron radiators to a high standard. Full training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys practical work and wants to learn new skills.
Duties include:
- Dismantling and reassembling cast iron radiators
- Shot blasting and surface preparation
- Painting and finishing radiators
- Using workshop tools and equipment safely
- Quality checking completed work
- Maintaining a clean and organised workshop
- General workshop and stock duties
What we're looking for:
- Practical and hands on approach
- Good attention to detail
- Reliable and hardworking
- Willingness to learn new skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
Previous workshop, manufacturing, construction, engineering or trade experience would be beneficial but is not essential.
What we offer:
- £13.50 per hour
- Flexible working hours - 16 - 24 hours per week (more hours can be available if wanted)
