We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our dynamic dental practice at Kelso Dental Care. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dental team in delivering effective treatments. This position requires excellent communication skills, strong organisational abilities, and a commitment to maintaining a welcoming environment for patients.
Duties
- Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
- Provide exceptional patient care by reassuring patients, explaining procedures, and addressing any concerns they may have.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation using IT systems.
- Sterilise instruments and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Manage appointment schedules and assist with administrative tasks as required.
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure a smooth workflow within the practice.
- Continuously update knowledge of dental practices and procedures to provide the best care possible.
Qualifications
- Qualified Dental Nurse with relevant certifications or qualifications.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Proven ability to provide excellent patient care in a clinical setting.
- Organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with IT systems used in dental practices is advantageous.
- A compassionate approach towards patients, demonstrating empathy and understanding.

We are looking for a dental nurse for five days a week. Monday to Friday working hours 8:15am - 5:45pm.
All qualified dental nurses must be registered with the GDC and have their own indemnity insurance.
Wage will be discussed at interview stage.
TRAINEE position will be considered for the right candidate and full training will be given.
