Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and professional Security Guard to maintain safety and security across our premises. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring the site, preventing loss, and ensuring a secure environment for staff and visitors. Job Type: Part-time (16.4 – 20.8 hours per week)
SIA - MUST REQUIRMENT
Work Location: In person
Shift Pattern (Weekend availability required):
- Wednesday: 18:00 – 22:30
- Friday: 16:00 – 20:30
- Saturday: 12:00 – 18:00
- Sunday: 12:00 – 18:00
Please note: This role requires availability to work every weekend.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to deter unauthorised access and identify potential security risks
- Enforce loss prevention policies by observing suspicious behaviour and intervening when necessary
- Respond swiftly to alarms or emergencies, including administering first aid if required
- Maintain detailed incident reports and communicate effectively with management regarding security concerns
- Control access points, verify identification, and manage visitor logs to ensure authorised entry only
Requirements & Experience
- Must hold a valid SIA licence (applications without this will not be considered)
- Ability to provide a full 5-year work history
- Prior experience in security or related roles is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
- Knowledge of basic first aid procedures is preferred
- Strong observational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm under pressure
