This role is Monday to Friday. No requirment to work weekends or overtime although it is available if you want it.

First Defence Pest Control was set up in 2013. Due to expansion we are looking for another technician to join our team.
Most of the premises we work in are domestic homes, but we also have a large number of contracts in a range of commercial premises such as care homes, schools, bakeries etc. To date we have done very little advertising with most of our work coming from recommendations. Customer satisfaction is paramount to us.
A lot of pest control companies require technicians to create sales leads whilst at a customer’s premises and reward technicians with commissions. Here at First Defence we choose to pay a good base wage and reward techs based on their productivity and also quality of work.
We are believers in progression therefore, you will be supported and rewarded when it comes to learning new skills related to Pest Management so that you can achieve your full potential.
The office arranges your schedule which you will receive via a program set up on your smartphone. This leaves you to focus on actual pest control work.
We will provide you with a company vehicle, fuel card, uniform, mobile phone and all equipment necessary to carry out your role.
Main duties:
- Inspect customer premises, determine pest species and carry out necessary treatments to eradicate the pests.
- Record all visits to customers via our smartphone app
- Any other “ad hoc” duties as required by the needs of the business
The ideal candidate will have:
- A passion for the industry
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience
- Level 2 RSPH Certificate
- Clean full UK driving licence
- Some DIY knowledge and skill
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Work on own initiative and unsupervised
- Provide exceptional standards of customer service
