Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Football Coach to join our sports programme in Stokenchurch near High Wycombe. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for developing young athletes, fostering teamwork, and promoting physical fitness. The position is paid and suitable for individuals with relevant experience or a strong interest in coaching football.
Duties
- Plan and deliver engaging training sessions tailored to different age groups and skill levels
- Develop customised training programmes focusing on technical skills, tactical awareness, and physical conditioning
- Provide constructive feedback to players to enhance their performance and confidence
- Organise team drills, practice matches, and fitness activities to promote teamwork and sportsmanship
- Monitor players’ progress through regular assessments and maintain detailed records of development
- Ensure all training activities adhere to health and safety regulations
- Foster a positive environment that encourages discipline, respect, and enjoyment of the sport
- Collaborate with other coaches and staff to coordinate team strategies and event logistics
Experience
- Previous sports coaching experience, preferably in football or similar team sports, with enhanced DBS
- Proven ability to teach and motivate players of various ages and abilities
- Knowledge of human anatomy relevant to athletic training and injury prevention is highly desirable
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan effective training sessions
- Excellent communication skills to engage with players, parents, and fellow staff members
- A genuine passion for football and youth development is essential for success in this role
Pay: £18.00-£30.00 per hour
