The Role
You will be a key member of a collaborative team, playing a crucial role in developing new products and successfully bringing them to market. This role is a unique blend of technical design, project management, and creative marketing.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Technical Development
- Create, modify, and manage high-quality 3D models and technical drawings using Solidworks.
- Play a proactive role in the R&D process, helping to develop and refine new drainage products for market launch.
- Ensure all technical data sheets and product specifications are accurate and reflect the latest design iterations.
Project & Team Collaboration
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure project deadlines are met and design standards are maintained.
- Handle specific product projects, tracking progress from the conceptual phase through to production and distribution.
- Participate in team brainstorming sessions to solve complex engineering challenges within the drainage sector.
Customer Engagement & Technical Support
- Act as a technical touchpoint for clients and contractors, providing advice and customer facing literature on product specifications and installation.
- Assist the sales team as they prepare technical proposals and quotes for bespoke drainage projects.
- Translate complex engineering data into clear, accessible information for various stakeholders.
Marketing & Content Creation
- Support the marketing team by producing technical content, including installation guides, brochures, and catalogues.
- Utilise Solidworks to generate high-quality models or diagrams for use in promotional and internal training materials.
- Ensure the technical integrity of all marketing collateral across digital and print platforms.

What We're Looking For
Essential
- Solidworks or Equivalent: As our primary design tool, proficiency in Solidworks is essential. (Knowledge in other CAD packages will be taken into consideration provided we can prove the transferable skills/experience between the software).
- Team Player: Proven ability to work effectively within a team and manage individual project responsibilities and timelines.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written skills, with the ability to create engaging internal and external content.
- Strong IT Skills: Tasks will be carried out using computer assisted applications and programs.
- Punctuality: Excellent attendance and punctuality expected.
Desirable
- Product Development: A keen interest or experience in the "cradle-to-grave" product lifecycle.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience in drainage, construction, or civil engineering is highly advantageous.
