We are seeking a dedicated and flexible Cover Piano Tutor to provide high-quality piano instruction on an ad hoc basis. The role involves stepping in to deliver lessons when the regular tutor is unavailable, ensuring students continue to progress in their musical journey. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for teaching, excellent communication skills, and a strong background in piano performance and pedagogy.

Duties
- Deliver engaging and tailored piano lessons to children aged 5–11 with varying abilities.
- Teach and reinforce music-reading skills through creative, enjoyable, and age-appropriate activities.
- Adapt teaching methods to suit individual student needs, ensuring effective learning outcomes.
- Prepare lesson plans and materials in advance, aligning with curriculum standards or student goals.
- Provide constructive feedback to students to motivate improvement and confidence.
- Uphold professional standards of punctuality, organisation, and confidentiality.
Qualifications
- Proven proficiency in piano performance with relevant qualifications or significant experience.
- Previous teaching experience is desirable but not essential; training can be provided for suitable candidates.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire young children.
- Organised and reliable, capable of managing lesson schedules effectively.
- A passion for music education and a patient, approachable demeanour.
- Flexibility to cover lessons at short notice and adapt to varying student needs.
- A recognised teaching qualification or equivalent is advantageous but not mandatory.
