Part Time Permanent Position
The Hove Practice is an established and growing private GP surgery in central Hove. We are seeking a reliable, conscientious and detail orientated Cleaner to help maintain the exceptionally high standards our patients expect.
This is an important role within our team. As a healthcare environment, cleanliness, presentation and infection control are fundamental to the care we provide. We are therefore looking for someone who takes genuine pride in their work and understands the importance of attention to detail.
Hours
Approximately 10 hours per week.
Working hours are flexible and can be discussed with the successful applicant. Cleaning is generally undertaken outside patient consulting hours, either in the early morning, evening or a combination of both.
Salary
Competitive hourly rate dependent upon experience.
Responsibilities
- Cleaning consulting rooms, treatment rooms, reception areas and offices.
- Cleaning patient and staff toilet facilities.
- Vacuuming, mopping and dusting throughout the premises.
- Emptying bins and replacing liners.
- Cleaning internal glass and touch points.
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the building.
- Ensuring cleaning products are used safely and stored appropriately.
- Reporting maintenance issues, stock shortages or concerns to the Practice Manager.
- Following practice policies relating to health and safety, infection control and confidentiality.
What We Are Looking For
Essential:
- Reliable and trustworthy.
- Excellent attention to detail.

- Good communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Desirable:
- Previous cleaning experience.
- Experience cleaning healthcare, dental, care home or clinical environments.
- Knowledge of infection prevention and control procedures.
- Experience working with COSHH compliant cleaning products.
