Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and energetic Labourer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting various outdoor and construction projects by performing physical tasks that keep our sites safe, efficient, and well-maintained. Responsibilities
- Assist with landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, planting, pruning, and weeding to ensure attractive and healthy outdoor spaces
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and small machinery including shovels, rakes, hedge trimmers, and blowers safely and effectively
- Support construction activities by preparing sites, moving materials, and helping with basic assembly or demolition work
- Maintain irrigation systems by inspecting for leaks or blockages and performing minor repairs when necessary
- Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues and perform routine maintenance on tools and machinery like excavators or other small construction equipment
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all tasks to prevent accidents or injuries on site
- Collaborate with team members to complete daily objectives efficiently while adhering to project timelines
Experience
- Previous experience in landscape maintenance, gardening, horticulture or construction is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic mechanical concepts is advantageous
- Knowledge of irrigation systems and their maintenance is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions with physical stamina
- Strong teamwork skills with a proactive attitude towards learning new skills and responsibilities
