Job Title: CNC Flatbed Laser Setter/Operator
Reporting To: Laser Shift Team Leader
Hours: 14:00 – 22:00 Monday to Thursday and Friday 14:00 – 20:00
Job Role: To be responsible for setting and operating the CNC Flatbed laser cutting machines and support the production team.
HTA Group is looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Laser Operator to join our busy and expanding Laser team based in Coventry.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and motivated Laser Operator, who wishes to progress within a dynamic and rapidly expanding engineering firm.
Responsibilities
- Set and operate the CNC flatbed laser cutting machines
- Perform tasks as directed by the Line Manager
- Operate the CNC flatbed laser cutting machine with an operating automated systems, and other machinery used in the production process, or assist other machine operators
- Be able to interpret engineering drawings
- Distinguish Material types including Aluminium, Steel, Stainless Steel
- Load programs and set machine parameters to ensure optimal performance of the equipment
- Keep work area clean and organized.
- Lift raw materials, final products and items packed for shipment manually or using hoist
- Ensure adherence to agreed processes at all time
- Any other duties that may fit into the remit of this role as and when required

Knowledge, Skills, Experience
- Self-motivated and focused
- Experienced in setting and operating CNC flatbed lasers
- High attention to detail
- The ability to work in a high pressure environment
- Good team member
- Have a positive “Can Do” attitude and willingness to complete other work in the work shop from time to time as and when needed
Remuneration
£13.91 Per Hour + £50 Per Week Shift Allowance
