The Creeping Fig
The Creeping Fig is an independent coffee and street food business based in Lordswood. We operate from a busy catering van serving breakfast, lunch and speciality coffee seven days a week, alongside our growing catering business.
We're looking for an experienced barista who enjoys working with customers, takes pride in making consistently great coffee and thrives in a busy environment.
This is a hands-on role where coffee is your primary focus, while also supporting our food service during busy periods.
What you'll be doing:
Preparing consistently high-quality espresso-based coffees using a commercial espresso machine.
Delivering excellent customer service and building relationships with our regular customers.
Running front-of-house during busy breakfast and lunch services.
Taking orders and keeping service running efficiently.
Supporting fresh food preparation during service.
Helping with catering preparation when required.
Maintaining high food hygiene and cleanliness standards.
We're looking for someone who:
Has at least two years' commercial barista experience.
Has experience working in a busy coffee shop, café or similar hospitality environment.
Enjoys talking to customers and delivering great service.
Works well under pressure.
Is reliable, organised and takes pride in their work.
Wants to be part of a small, hardworking team.
Hours
Full Time – 40 hours per week
Five shifts over seven days
Weekdays: 6:30am–3:30pm Weekends: 7:30am–2:30pm
No evening shifts
