Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and support to residents or clients, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Help develop and follow personalized care plans to meet individual needs and preferences
- Support with medication reminders and basic health monitoring under supervision
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care
- Assist with daily activities such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, and recreational engagement
- Maintain accurate records of care provided using IT systems and documentation protocols
- Drive or accompany clients on errands or appointments when required to support their independence
Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a care home or home care setting is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Valid driving license is preferred to facilitate transportation duties when necessary
- Strong communication skills in English to effectively interact with residents, families, and team members
- Basic IT literacy for documentation and accessing electronic care plans
- Ability to follow detailed care plans while demonstrating empathy and professionalism
- Good physical fitness to perform caregiving tasks that may involve lifting or assisting with mobility
