Are you an experienced level 3 qualified Senior Carer or Team Leader who leads with compassion, confidence and professionalism? At Manor House, care is about far more than completing tasks. It is about knowing each resident as an individual, protecting their dignity and helping them feel safe, valued and genuinely at home.
We are looking for a dependable Senior Carer who can confidently lead a shift, support colleagues and help us deliver consistently high standards of person-centred care. You will be able to lead through our values of ‘Family, Integrity, Empowerment, Openness and Excellence.’
What you’ll be doing
As a Senior Carer or Team Leader, you will:
- Lead, support and motivate the care team during your shift
- Deliver warm, respectful and personalised care and promote residents’ dignity, independence, choices and wellbeing
- Administer and oversee medication safely, in line with your training and competency
- Maintain accurate care plans, risk assessments and daily records
- Recognise changes in residents’ health and escalate concerns promptly
- Communicate professionally with residents, relatives and healthcare professionals
- Support and guide Care Assistants, leading by example
- Follow safeguarding procedures and maintain high standards of safety
- Work in line with the Fundamental Standards, CQC, care-home policies, the Mental Capacity Act and DoLS
- Help create a welcoming home where residents and colleagues feel respected
What we’re looking for
You must have:
- A minimum Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care, or an equivalent recognised qualification
- At least two years’ experience in the care sector
- Experience of taking responsibility and supporting or leading other care colleagues
- Confidence in medication administration and accurate record-keeping
- A good understanding of safeguarding and person-centred care
- The ability to remain calm, organised and make sound decisions
- A kind, respectful and positive approach
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- The flexibility to work alternate weekends
A full driving licence is preferable, although it is not essential.
