Job Summary
Based in Bramley, Surrey, we are a small, family run business who look after established gardens throughout Surrey and West Sussex as well as offering planting and design services. We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced gardener to carry out full days gardening work as required in larger private Surrey gardens and estates.
Previous gardening experience, good plant knowledge and excellent attention to detail and reliability is essential to maintain the high standards expected by our clients. The successful applicant would need to have experience with using the usual garden machinery, be physically fit, be well spoken in English (daily note taking of completed work is required) and have good personal presentation. Would suit someone who has their own small business and has a flexible schedule and is used to working without supervision. The successful applicant may also have an assistant on occasion and would be required to manage them on site by assigning tasks and overseeing their work.
Applicants will need a full clean driving license and their own vehicle to drive to and from the company premises each day to collect a vehicle and equipment. Must live within 45 minutes drive of GU5 0LL for 7am departure from company premises to work sites.
Working hours: 7.30am - 3.30pm
Days: Two days per week starting, potential to be 5 days per week, year round.
Pay: Between £150-£180 depending on experience. Self employed basis.
Required Education, Skills and Qualifications
Physically fit and able to perform usual tasks related with gardening both manual and with equipment.
Good plant knowledge and experience as a gardener in the UK.
Professional hard working attitude.
Excellent time keeping and organisational skills.
Own transport and full, clean driving licence.
Smartphone.
Fluent spoken and written English

Responsibilities
- Maintain garden beds and lawns as required to ensure plant health and uphold aesthetic standards
- Utilise hand and power tools for landscaping tasks, including trimming, pruning, and planting.
- Organise and manage gardening schedules, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
- Provide written and visual details of work carried out each visit.
- To uphold the company reputation for reliability, knowledge and excellent professional service.
