Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Hearing Care Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting audiologists and our admin teams. This role is to provide a follow-up and support Audiology Service to patients and the House of Hearing team.
As part of the role you will also be trained in wax removal.
Duties
- To carry out repairs to hearing aids and to recommend replacements where appropriate with the dispenser.
- Demonstrate competency of all manufacturer's products including hearing aids and remote controls
- Program hearing aids and additional devices to audiometric results.
- Understand audiometric results and discuss results with patients in a professional manner.
- Update all information on our database, including appointments, orders, payments, follow up appointments etc.
- Manage new orders and repairs.
- Communicate effectively with audiologists, front of house teams and patients.
Experience
- Previous experience working within an hearing care environment is preferred but not essential.
- Strong communication skills to build rapport with patients and work effectively within a team.
- Worked within a patient based environment.
- Basic IT skills for using a diary management system .
- You must be willing to travel to our training centre when completing your wax removal course.
- Salary from £21 158 to £24 785 pro rata.
