We are looking for a passionate and motivated Team Leader to join our domiciliary care team at Norton Nurses (formerly Chrysalis Care).
This is a varied and rewarding role for an experienced care professional who wants to take the next step in their career and develop their leadership skills. You will play an important role in supporting our care team and ensuring our clients receive safe, compassionate and high quality care in their own homes.
The role is both hands-on and leadership focused. Alongside supporting the wider care team, you will undertake care visits, contribute to care planning and reviews, carry out quality checks and audits, and support the day to day running of the service. You will also participate in an on call rota and be required to work a variety of shift patterns, including some evenings and weekends.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, support and supervise a team of care workers, promoting high standards of care and professionalism
- Provide hands on support with care visits and ensure clients receive care that is safe, respectful and person centred
- Support the development, implementation and regular review of individual care plans and risk assessments
- Carry out care plan reviews and contribute to assessments to ensure care remains appropriate as clients' needs change
- Undertake spot checks, quality monitoring visits and audits to ensure high standards of care and compliance are maintained
- Provide guidance, coaching and support to care workers, helping them develop their skills and confidence
- Identify and address concerns relating to care delivery, escalating issues appropriately when required
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date care records, documentation and electronic systems
- Work collaboratively with clients, families, care staff and other health and social care professionals
- Support the coordination of staffing and care delivery to help ensure continuity and consistency for our clients
- Participate in the on call rota, providing support and responding appropriately to out-of-hours issues
- Work a flexible shift pattern, including evenings, weekends and other shifts as required by the needs of the service

We are looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in a senior care role within domiciliary care or a similar care environment
- Confident supporting and supervising other care staff
- Passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care
- Organised, reliable and able to manage competing priorities
- Confident communicating with clients, families, colleagues and external professionals
- Comfortable undertaking care visits and working directly with clients in their own homes
- Able to complete care documentation accurately and confidently use IT systems
- Confident identifying concerns and taking appropriate action to maintain quality and safety
- Flexible and willing to work a range of shift patterns and participate in an on call rota
- Committed to their own professional development and keen to progress within the care sector
Desirable:
- Previous experience in a Team Leader or Senior Care role
- Experience of care planning, reviews, audits or quality monitoring
- Knowledge of relevant health and social care regulations and best practice
- A relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Health and Social Care qualification
We will provide ongoing training, support and development, including the opportunity to be supported towards your NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care.
A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for travelling between client visits is essential for this role.
Pay: From £31,000.00 per year
