Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook balanced, appetising meals tailored to residents’ dietary needs.
- Maintain the highest standards of food safety and hygiene in line with care home regulations.
- Work closely with the care team to ensure meals meet individual preferences and nutritional requirements.
- Manage stock, ordering, and kitchen cleanliness efficiently.
Requirements
- Level 3 Food Safety and Hygiene certification (essential)
- IDDSI knowledge (essential)
- Previous experience as a chef in a care home or similar setting
- Ability to plan menus and cater for special diets
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- A genuine passion for supporting the wellbeing of residents through food
