Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled MIG/TIG Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in fabricating stair balustrades and stringers.They will be proficient in various welding techniques (fillet welds and butt welds) as well as fabricating from technical drawings. As a MIG Welder, you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling metal components, ensuring high-quality standards are met throughout the production process.
Duties
- Operate MIG/TIG welding equipment to weld and fabricate metal components according to specifications, must be able to work from technical drawings
- Assemble and fit parts together, ensuring precise alignment and adherence to design requirements.
- Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and finishing metal materials.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to determine project specifications.
- Perform quality checks on completed welds to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment by following health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining quality.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in MIG welding, TIG would be advantageous
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to metal fabrication.
- Familiarity with fabricating balustrades
- Able to work from technical drawings
- Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations related to welding tasks.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
