Forklift Driver - New Southgate - £28,730 – £30,940 per year
Our client is looking for an experienced Counterbalance Forklift Driver to join their team.
This is a varied role combining forklift , yard duties and customer service. You'll be responsible for loading and unloading vehicles, moving stock around the yard/branch and assisting customers collecting materials. The role involves regular interaction with customers, so a helpful and professional approach is important.
The successful candidate will be dependable, take pride in their work and be happy working as part of a team. The role also includes a shared rotating weekend rota.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a Counterbalance forklift safely.
- Load and unload HGVs, supplier deliveries and customer collections.
- Assist customers with loading and collecting materials.
- Move and organise stock around the yard.
- Maintain a safe, clean and organised working environment.
Requirements
- Previous forklift experience (builders' merchant or similar experience is desirable).
- Good customer service and communication skills.
- Reliable, accountable and willing to support the wider team.
- Able to work the rotating weekend schedule.
