Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklift trucks to load, unload, and move materials within the yard
- Assist with preparing goods for dispatch or storage
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and notify maintenance for repairs needed
- Handle materials with care, ensuring proper stacking and storage according to safety standards
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movements
- Support yard organization by keeping work areas clean, tidy, and compliant with safety regulations
- Assist with general duties such as inventory counts, labeling, and documentation
Skills
- Proven experience in operations and materials handling
- Valid forklift certification with demonstrated ability to operate equipment safely
- Familiarity with yard management systems for tracking inventory movements
- Ability to perform basic math calculations related to weights, measurements, and quantities
- Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and extended periods of standing or walking
