Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Cleaning Operative to join our dynamic team at Richmond Centre. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across the shopping centre, hours will usually start at 1pm during weekdays and weekends with occasional morning so applicant must be flexible.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of designated areas, including floors, surfaces, restrooms, and communal spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and products
- Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed efficiently and according to scheduled routines
- Maintain stock levels of cleaning supplies and notify management when supplies need replenishing
- Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment
- Handle waste disposal responsibly, ensuring bins are emptied regularly and recycling protocols are followed
- Report any maintenance issues or damage observed during cleaning activities to the relevant department
- Adhere to company policies on confidentiality, security, and hygiene standards at all times
Requirements
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles preferred
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high standards of cleanliness
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Good physical stamina to perform manual tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety procedures
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Reliable with a proactive attitude towards maintaining cleanliness standards
Experience:
- Cleaning: 1 year (preferred)
Pay: £12.81 per hour
