We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic individual who is keen to work in our Medical / Elderly therapy team helping patients in the acute hospital setting.
Applications are sought from individuals who are committed to providing high quality patient care, have excellent communication skills and can demonstrate the ability to cope in a range of busy and challenging environments.
You will be joining a team who provide high quality patient focused care and will be required to work within a busy ward environment. Training for this role will be provided to support your development through supervision, competency training and in service training.
This position is based on the Medical and Elderly wards as part of the Medical Rehab Team.
The successful candidate will be required to work with patients with a variety of different presentations that will include:
Patients admitted to the cardiac unit following a cardiac event.
Patients who have become acutely unwell and require therapy to support their recovery.
Patients admitted due to renal failure and for dialysis.
Patients requiring assistance with mobility and personal care retraining.
