About the Role
As a Care Assistant, you will provide high-quality, person-centred support to individuals within their own homes across Swansea. You will play a vital role in enhancing wellbeing, promoting independence, and building meaningful relationships with those you support.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver person-centred care tailored to individual needs
- Assist with daily living activities, including:
- Personal care (bathing, dressing, hygiene, toileting needs)
- Mobility support and safe transfers
- Support with medication administration
- Prepare meals and ensure nutritional needs are met
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Support individuals with dementia and specialist care needs
- Carry out light household duties to maintain a clean, safe environment
- Transport clients to appointments or community outings when required
- Maintain accurate care records and report any concerns promptly
- Follow all safeguarding and health & safety procedures
What We’re Looking ForEssential:
- A caring, compassionate, and reliable nature
- Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
- Flexibility and willingness to work varied shifts
Desirable:
- Previous experience in domiciliary, residential, or nursing care
- Understanding of dementia care and behaviour management
- Experience with medication administration
- First aid training
