Job Title: Full-Time Senior Dental Nurse
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Dental Nurse to join our small but growing team. ** Please do not apply unless you have been a Senior Dental Nurse and have experience of leading a team.** This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive, organised, and patient-focused professional who is passionate about high-quality care and supporting a developing nursing team. This role includes working two Saturdays per month (or alternate Saturdays) with time off in lieu.

Key Responsibilities of a Senior Dental Nurse
- Lead, support, and mentor a small but growing team of dental nurses.
- Oversee all aspects of clinical compliance, ensuring CQC, HTM 01-05, and practice protocols are followed.
- Manage daily clinical operations to ensure smooth, efficient workflows.
- Liaise closely with the Practice Manager regarding compliance, audits, action plans, and operational updates.
- Create and manage nurse rotas to ensure proper clinical coverage.
- Handle ordering and stock control of all clinical supplies, ensuring cost-efficiency and preventing shortages.
- Maintain accurate clinical and compliance records.
- Assist clinicians directly by providing high-quality chairside support.
- Ensure surgeries are prepared, sterilisation protocols are followed, and all areas meet infection control standards.
- Participate in sedation clinics where applicable and undertake sedation training if not already completed.
- Utilise dedicated administrative time for compliance tasks, stock management, and team coordination.
Key Skills and Experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Senior Dental Nurse.
- GDC registered.
- Radiography qualification is essential.
- Willingness to undertake sedation training if not already qualified.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Excellent understanding of compliance, infection control, and clinical governance.
- Highly organised, proactive, and able to prioritise workload effectively.
- Confident working independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Passion for delivering outstanding patient care in a calm, holistic environment.
