Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Labourer / Decorator to work on void properties, primarily focusing on refurbishment and decoration tasks. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction painting and possess strong communication skills. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to property improvements while developing your skills within a supportive team environment. The position involves working on various refurbishment projects, ensuring properties are brought back to a suitable standard for future occupancy or sale. The salary is dependant on age and experience. You must be willing to travel to and from your place of work using either your own or public transport.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for decoration, including cleaning, sanding, and priming as required
- Apply paint, wallpaper, and other decorative finishes to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces in void properties
- Assist with general labouring duties such as moving materials and clearing work areas
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding progress and any issues encountered
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment throughout each project
Experience
- Proven experience in construction painting or decorating within residential or commercial settings
- Valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate transportation between sites
- Good command of English language for effective communication with team members and clients
- Strong communication skills to coordinate tasks efficiently and report any concerns promptly
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures relevant to building sites is desirable

Pay: £23,000.00-£27,000.00 per year
