Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive cloud security strategies aligned with industry standards such as NIST, ISO 27002, and best practices for information security and network security.
- Design, automate, and manage secure cloud infrastructure using tools like Terraform, Ansible, and VMware across platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, and Azure.
- Integrate security into the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) by deploying DevSecOps pipelines that incorporate static code analysis, vulnerability scanning, and automated compliance checks.
- Configure and manage network security devices including Cisco ASA firewalls, Cisco ISE for identity management, VPNs utilizing IPsec protocols, and IDS/IPS systems for intrusion detection.
- Monitor network traffic using SIEM solutions such as Splunk or SolarWinds to identify anomalies, respond to incidents promptly, and conduct incident management activities.
- Implement encryption techniques including PKI (Public Key Infrastructure), SSL/TLS protocols, and secure authentication methods like LDAP and SSO to protect sensitive data.
- Support network architecture design for high availability, disaster recovery planning, load balancing solutions, and ensuring optimal performance of cloud infrastructure.
Experience
- Proven experience in computer networking concepts including LAN/WAN architecture, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), IP networking (TCP/IP), DHCP/DNS configuration.
- Extensive knowledge of network protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, ICMP along with experience configuring Cisco routers/switches and Juniper devices.
- Strong background in information security principles with familiarity in NIST standards, ISO 27002 guidelines, incident response procedures, and cybersecurity best practices.
- Hands-on expertise with operating systems including Linux distributions (Debian, CentOS, Ubuntu), Windows Server environments, macOS, Android/iOS platforms.
- Skilled in scripting languages like Bash (Unix shell scripting), PowerShell or Python for automation tasks within cloud or on-premises environments.
- Experience managing virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere or Citrix; working with cloud PaaS/IaaS solutions including AWS EC2/CloudFormation or Google Cloud Platform services.
- Knowledge of network monitoring tools like SolarWinds or PRTG; familiarity with open source tools such as Fiddler or New Relic for performance tuning and troubleshooting.

Pay: £35,382.75-£95,499.72 per year
