Duties
- Safely operate commercial vehicles, including flatbed trucks, to deliver products to clients and distribution centers
- Plan and follow efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, checking for mechanical issues and ensuring compliance with safety standards
- Load and unload cargo accurately, utilizing warehouse experience to handle various types of freight
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues promptly
- Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, delivery records, and vehicle inspections for compliance purposes
- Assist with warehouse tasks as needed, including inventory checks and organizing shipments
Requirements
- Proven experience in commercial driving and delivery driver roles, preferably with flatbed trucks or similar equipment
- Strong driving skills with a clean driving record and valid driver’s license suitable for operating large vehicles
- Mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle maintenance checks and troubleshoot minor issues
- Previous warehouse experience that enhances your ability to handle freight efficiently
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to flatbed transportation and cargo securement
- Ability to work independently, stay organized, and manage time effectively
