Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Restaurant Manager at a Japanese Restaurant to oversee daily operations within our busy establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and a comprehensive understanding of food production, safety standards, and team management. Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all restaurant activities to ensure smooth daily operations
- Oversee food production, preparation, and presentation to uphold quality standards
- Manage staff schedules, delegate tasks, and supervise team members including servers, kitchen staff, and baristas
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and health & safety policies
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as necessary to maintain stock levels
- Handle customer enquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally to enhance guest satisfaction
- Implement training programmes to develop staff skills in food service, safety procedures, and customer care
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the restaurant environment
- Assist in planning menus in collaboration with culinary staff and manage special event arrangements
Skills
- Proven experience in restaurant management or supervisory roles within hospitality settings
- Strong knowledge of food production, cooking techniques, and food safety standards
- Excellent leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
- Experience in supervising food preparation, serving, and kitchen operations
- Familiarity with hospitality management software and point-of-sale systems
- Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure
- Good communication skills to liaise confidently with staff and customers
- Previous barista experience is advantageous but not essential; a passion for coffee culture is desirable
- Knowledge of food presentation standards and culinary practices is preferred
- A proactive approach towards problem-solving and maintaining high service standards
Pay: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
