Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Night Support Worker to provide essential care and assistance during overnight hours. This role involves supporting adults ensuring their safety, well-being, and comfort throughout the night. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, experience in childcare, and the ability to work independently in a caring environment. Duties
- Monitor adults overnight, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Assist with personal care routines as required, adhering to individual care plans
- Provide emotional support and reassurance to children during the night
- Record observations accurately and maintain detailed documentation of any incidents or concerns
- Follow prescribed care plans meticulously, ensuring all procedures are adhered to
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and external professionals regarding the needs of each individual
- Support children with bedtime routines and organise activities that promote restful sleep
- Maintain a safe and clean environment, ensuring all safety protocols are followed
- Drive or assist with transportation arrangements if necessary for appointments or outings
Experience
- Previous experience working with adults
- Knowledge of adults protection procedures and safeguarding policies
- Familiarity with creating and implementing care plans tailored to individual needs
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written, to liaise effectively with colleagues, children, and families
- Basic IT skills for record keeping and documentation purpose.
