8am - 4pm working day, to be varied as and when required
Who we’re looking for
You are an experienced Nurse, preferably with care home experience or similar. You will confidently lead a nursing team, ensuring all clinical procedures are carried out in line with the NMC code of conduct. You will be confident to talk to families about their loved ones and promote strong relationships between our care home and resident families. You will ensure all staff members treat our residents with respect and dignity and that their independence and choice are considered at all times. You will promote good communication with all team members and lead by example. You will carry out regular audits, including medication, wounds, risk assessments for falls, spot checks on care plans, and input on admissions for the home—complete GP rounds with assistance from junior Nurses. Complete supervisions and escalate if necessary. You will carry out infection control training, i.e., mini-modules, to inform the staff of any changes.

Duties:
- Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff in a clinical setting
- Oversee patient care and ensure quality and safety standards are met
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement care plans
- Monitor patient progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Perform assessments, including physical examinations and review of medical history
- Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment options, and self-care techniques
- Document patient information accurately and maintain medical records
- Assist with the coordination of patient admissions, transfers, and discharges
Qualifications:
- Valid nursing license and registration
- Proficient in medication administration and dosage calculations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lead a team
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
