We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance & Facilities Engineer to join our organisation. This role is responsible for equipment engineering problem-solving and undertaking the maintenance and repair of plant facilities such as lighting, plumbing, power supplies, furniture, and fittings.
The purpose of this role is to support the continuous improvement of engineering services, ensuring safety, efficiency, work quality, and efficient operations.
- Diagnose and resolve engineering and equipment-related issues.
- Conduct planned and reactive maintenance activities on plant facilities including lighting, plumbing, power supplies, furniture, and fittings.
- Ensure all maintenance work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
- Support the development and improvement of maintenance processes to maximise performance and reliability.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure compliance with relevant standards.
- Contribute to organisational continuous improvement initiatives.
- Participate in an on-call rota and undertake additional hours as required to support operational needs.
- Experience in facilities maintenance or an engineering role within a similar environment.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to resolving technical issues.
- Flexible approach to working hours, including shift work, overtime, and on-call duties.
- Commitment to high standards of safety, efficiency, and work quality.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team.
- Accredited Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
- HNC/HND in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
- Apprenticeship in Electrical/ mechanical Engineering.
- Experience in Planned Preventative Maintenance schedule and knowledge of plant machinery.
- Dealing with Plant issues efficiently and timeously to ensure smooth operations.
- Dealing with contracts and completing permit to work risk assessments.
- Significant knowledge of Health and Safety Legislation in the workplace.
- Self-motivated and organized with the ability to work unsupervised.
- Knowledge of Microsoft and excellent computer skills.
