Our client a global distribution concern with a UK wide distribution network; has an exciting opportunity for a 7.5 Tonne Driver.
IMMEDIATE START
Job Title - 7.5 tonne driver for delivery of white goods appliances throughout Northern Ireland.
Hours / pay scale:
- Hourly Rate: £15.00 per hour depending on experience
- Hourly rate will be reviewed and increased depending on success in the role.
- Hours of work: Start time between 6.45am
- Finish times very rarely go beyond 4pm - minimum 8hrs paid every day regardless of finish time
- Duration: 40 Hours
Job Duties include:
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding and apply Tachograph regulations both EU and WTD at all times
- Be manually fit and able to 'sack barrow' white goods appliances
- Capture POD signatures on an electronic PDA phone
- Report any discrepancies and issues to the office immediately
- DIY proficient or have previous experience of white goods transport and connections
- Good road transport knowledge of Northern Ireland
Predominantly the role would entail delivery to our Trade customers all over Northern Ireland but on occasion (or depending on your skills and experience) we would ask you to carry out Home Deliveries and eventually connections (training will be given).
You may be asked to drive a 3.5t Luton van or be a driver’s mate for the day but you will be paid the same rate as agreed with TRP and the company
Essential Criteria
- Good Geographical knowledge of NI.
- Good Knowledge of driver’s hours, rules and regulations.
- Good Communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to work well with others.
- Must be able to apply Manual Handling techniques..
