Overview
We are seeking friendly and dedicated Food and Beverage Assistants in both our Gallery Bar/Restaurant and Conference & Banqueting departments to join our team. This includes, bartenders and floor staff.
This role involves providing excellent service to our guests, assisting with food and drink delivery, and ensuring a welcoming environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, with experience in catering / serving preferred. Previous bar, restaurant or barista experience is advantageous. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills within the hospitality industry while delivering memorable experiences for our guests.
Responsibilities
- Serve food and beverages efficiently and courteously to guests
- Ensure all service areas are clean, organised, and well-stocked
- Take orders accurately and handle transactions using the point-of-sale system
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene at all times
- Support the team during catering events or special functions
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest needs promptly and professionally
- Assist with setting up dining areas before service and clearing after closing
Qualifications
- Previous experience in catering, serving, or hospitality is preferred
- Barista experience is a plus but not essential
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
- Flexibility to work shifts including weekends and evenings as required
