Overview
We are seeking a motivated Trainee Roller Shutter Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. This entry-level role offers valuable hands-on experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of roller shutters across various commercial settings. Duties
- Assist with the installation, servicing, and repair of roller shutters and related equipment at client sites.
- Support senior engineers in conducting routine maintenance checks to ensure operational safety and efficiency.
- Learn to operate specialised machinery such as genie lifts and other relevant tools required for installation tasks.
- Help with the transportation of equipment and materials using commercial vehicles, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Contribute to site preparation activities, including site surveys and safety assessments.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and report any issues or faults identified during inspections.
- Follow health and safety procedures diligently to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
Experience
- No prior experience necessary; full training will be provided for all technical aspects of the role.
- A valid driving licence suitable for commercial driving is desirable but not essential; willingness to obtain necessary licences is preferred.
- Basic mechanical knowledge or familiarity with tools such as drills, screwdrivers, or similar equipment is advantageous.
- Enthusiasm for learning new skills within the engineering sector and a proactive attitude towards professional development are essential.
