Part-Time Café Cleaner – 18 Hours per Week
Wonderlust Bakery & Bistro is looking for a reliable, hardworking and thorough cleaner to join our team in Oldham.
The successful applicant will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness throughout our busy café, bakery and kitchen areas. This is a permanent part-time position working 18 hours per week, including Saturdays and Sundays.
Working hours
Monday: 4:00pm–6:30pm
Tuesday: 3:00pm–6:30pm
Wednesday: 4:00pm–6:30pm
Thursday: Day off
Friday: 4:00pm–6:30pm
Saturday: 5:00pm–8:30pm
Sunday: 5:00pm–8:30pm
Applicants must be available to work all the shifts listed above.
Main duties
- Clean the café, bakery, kitchens and food preparation areas
- Sweep, vacuum and mop all floors
- Clean tables, chairs, booth seating, windowsills and other surfaces
- Thoroughly clean the customer and staff toilets
- Clean the entrance, passageways, corridors, staff room and dry stores
- Clean doors, glass, mirrors and frequently touched surfaces
- Empty bins and replace bin bags
- Restock toilet rolls, handwash and other essential supplies
- Keep cleaning equipment and supplies tidy and organised
- Follow the daily cleaning checklist
- Use the correct cleaning products and colour-coded equipment for each area
- Report any hygiene, maintenance or supply issues to management
About you

- Is reliable, punctual and hardworking
- Takes pride in keeping everything exceptionally clean and tidy
- Pays close attention to detail
- Can work independently and complete all duties within the allocated time
- Is physically able to carry out regular cleaning duties
- Is comfortable working in a busy café and commercial kitchen environment
- Is available to work every weekend
Previous commercial cleaning experience is preferred. Experience working in a café, restaurant, bakery or other food business would be an advantage.
