Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Practitioner Level 3 to join our vibrant early childhood education team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in creating a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment for young children. Duties
- Plan, deliver, and evaluate age-appropriate activities that promote children's physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development
- Foster a warm, welcoming environment that encourages children’s independence and confidence
- Observe and record children's progress, sharing insights with parents and colleagues to support individual learning plans
- Maintain a safe and hygienic setting by adhering to health and safety policies and procedures
- Support children's behaviour management through positive reinforcement strategies
- Collaborate with team members to ensure the smooth daily operation of the nursery
- Assist in organising outings, activities, and special events that enhance children’s learning experiences
- Contribute to the ongoing development of nursery policies and procedures in line with early childhood education standards
- Support new staff members through mentorship and leadership when required
- Ensure effective communication with parents regarding their child's progress and well-being
Qualifications
- Level 3 Diploma in Early Years Education or equivalent childcare qualification recognised within the UK
- Proven experience working with children within a nursery or childcare setting
- Strong management skills with the ability to lead a team effectively
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Knowledge of current legislation relating to childcare and early years provision
- Experience with child development theories and practices
- Ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
- Valid driving licence is desirable for supporting nursery outings or home visits
