Part-Time Shop/Kitchen Assistant – Dessert Shop
We are looking for a mature, professional and reliable part-time Shop/Kitchen Assistant to join our dessert shop team. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a positive attitude and be able to work well in a busy customer-facing environment.
This role is suitable for someone who has good availability during evenings and weekends, as these are our main opening hours. Preference will be given to applicants who do not have major ongoing commitments such as another job or education, and who can be flexible with shifts when required.
The role will involve serving customers, taking orders on the till, preparing and making desserts, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, and helping with the smooth day-to-day running of the shop.
Key duties include:
- Serving customers and taking orders accurately
- Providing excellent customer service and ensuring customer satisfaction
- Preparing desserts and drinks to a high standard
- Preparing ingredients and stock for the day
- Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the shop and kitchen
- Carrying out end-of-day cleaning duties
- Receiving deliveries and organising stock
- Supporting the team during busy periods
- Following food safety and hygiene procedures
For the right candidate, there may be an opportunity to increase shifts and progress into a supervisor role, depending on performance, reliability and standards of work.
Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided.
Pay: £8.00-£12.71 per hour
