Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit an experienced and qualified HGV Mechanic / Fitter to join our expanding team.
This is a hands-on role working on our own fleet of HGVs, walking floor trailers and bulk tippers, as well as customer vehicles from our growing external maintenance contracts.
Please note: Applications will only be considered from candidates with proven HGV mechanical experience.
Responsibilities
- Routine servicing, inspections and preventative maintenance.
- Vehicle diagnostics and fault finding.
- MOT preparation and repairs.
- Mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic repairs.
- Trailer maintenance and repairs.
- Welding and fabrication work where required.
- Completing job cards and maintenance records accurately.
- Ensuring all work is completed to DVSA and health & safety standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an HGV Mechanic / Technician.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Good knowledge of HGV and trailer maintenance.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- HGV Licence advantageous but not essential.
