About The Role
We are currently looking to recruit a Recycling Operative for our site in Rugby. CV230XF. The role offered is a holiday cover for the site, covering holidays of the team and providing hours when no holiday is being taken. The successful candidate will need to to be flexible in their working times due to the shift pattern's below.
4 on 4 off shifts : 1900-0700 or 0700-1900 flexi days and nights
The main purpose of the role is to work as part of a team or individually to carry out recycling of waste.
The key responsibilities of the role are:
- Carry out daily and weekly waste removal and recycling tasks as required
- Recycling and disposal of all waste packaging
- Load and unload cages and pallets to/from rigid trucks and occasionally double decker trailers
- Operate baling equipment
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment within the yard area
- Adhere to all ISM and client health and safety rules and requirements
- Wear any required personal protective equipment (PPE) or site specific clothing as directed
- Report any product or machinery faults to the Site Supervisor.
- Be aware of environmental responsibilities and procedures.
- Report all environmental issues to the Site Supervisor as soon as possible
- Maintain good relations with client staff, contractors and visitors to the site
- To be responsible for unloading, sorting and re-allocation of returns within the site
- To be responsible for recycling return stock as directed by the Site Supervisor
- Liaise with external contractors on site for removal of waste and recyclable product
- To be responsible for leaving the recycling area clean and tidy at the end of each shift
- You will report to the Site Supervisor
