Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Van Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely ensuring timely deliveries. This role involves heavy lifting, so a candidate would need to be physically fit. Pay starting at £13.50 dependant on experience.
Duties
- Safely operate delivery vans to transport goods to designated destinations.
- Load and unload items, including heavy lifting when necessary, ensuring proper handling and safety procedures are followed.
- Communicate clearly with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and company policies during all driving activities.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving is preferred.
- Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
- Experience in warehouse operations or logistics is advantageous.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and customers.
- This role requires a dedicated individual capable of managing multiple deliveries daily while maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism. Candidates should be organised, punctual, and possess excellent communication skills to succeed in this position.
