Kirklees Council are advertising this role on behalf of Scissett Middle School.
This post is to commence as soon as possible.
We are seeking to appoint an energetic, enthusiastic and inspirational Technology Technician with a strong commitment to working with young people in an educational setting. As a Technology Technician you will support the Food & Fabric Technology/Design & Technology departments in the preparation for lessons and assist with practical lessons when required.
Your duties will include:
preparing, setting up and maintaining equipment, including CAD/CAM equipment, to ensure that it is in working order to support teachers in the production of students’ work
preparation and clearing of practical work
organising, maintaining and storing stocks of resources and preparing them for lessons
support for teaching staff before, during and after lessons
general workshop maintenance
ensuring a safe environment
administrative tasks
Some general whole school support in other curriculum areas may be required.
