Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef de Partie to join team here at Knights Hill Hotel. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality dishes, ensuring all food safety standards are met, and maintaining an organised and efficient kitchen environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong background in food preparation and culinary arts to develop their skills within a professional setting.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with menu specifications and quality standards.
- Assist in the organisation of the section, ensuring all ingredients and equipment are prepared and available for service.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations at all times.
- Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management to ensure efficient utilisation of ingredients.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to deliver a seamless dining experience for guests.
- Support junior team members by providing guidance and training as needed.
- Ensure that all food presentation meets the establishment’s standards before serving.
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar culinary role within a restaurant environment.
- Strong knowledge of food safety procedures and hygiene standards.
- Experience in meal preparation, with an eye for detail and presentation.
- Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently during busy service periods.
- Good communication skills to work effectively within a team.
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment is desirable but not essential.
- A genuine passion for culinary arts and continuous learning in the hospitality industry.
This position will be based within our Garden Restaurant within the Hotel, but also covering the two other kitchens when needed.
