Salary: £35,000 per annum + pension + additional paid hours in line with service requirements

Overview
An established, privately owned residential care service is seeking a committed and hands-on Registered Care Home Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of the home.
This is a confidential appointment, and full details of the service will be shared with shortlisted candidates.
This role would suit a practical, reliable manager who is confident working independently, leading a team, and maintaining consistent standards of care and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Full operational management of the care home
- Ensuring compliance with Regulation and Quality Improvement Authority (RQIA) standards
- Leading, supporting and managing the staff team
- Maintaining safe staffing levels, including hands-on support and shift cover where required
- Overseeing care delivery and resident wellbeing
- Managing rotas, day-to-day issues, and general running of the home
- Liaising with families and external professionals
- Maintaining accurate records, care plans, and documentation
About You
- NVQ Level 5 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
- Previous experience in a care home management or senior leadership role
- Strong understanding of RQIA requirements and inspections
- Ability to work independently and take full responsibility for the service
- Confident managing staff performance and day-to-day operations
- Willing to be hands-on and support on the floor when needed
- Strong leadership presence with the ability to take ownership and make decisions confidently
- Experienced in managing established teams and driving consistent standards
- Comfortable leading a team with a range of experience levels and personalities
- Able to challenge where necessary and implement improvements in a professional manner.
- Right to work in Northern Ireland
