Fairytale Farm are looking for a confident, warm and enthusiastic, Father Christmas with the ability to deliver the magic of Christmas to every family who visit Christmas Fairytale. Our traditional, cosy Grotto receives warm praise from families for its personalised, unhurried atmosphere, and friendly Father Christmas.
We can offer various shift patterns which are weekend based over the festive season.
Key Responsibilities
- Acting in a warm and jolly manner in a provided Father Christmas costume if you don’t have your own.
- Create a magical experience by recalling personalised details when interacting with children and adults
- Improvise and remain in character at all times
- Work with elves and Event Managers to ensure smooth timings and logistics
- Posing for photos with each family.
Requirements
Essential
- Must be able to able to convincingly portray Father Christmas
- A natural warmth, humour, and ability to engage children and adults in an appropriate manner
- Ability to recall personalised details and improvise in character
- Ability to work in a team, working with timings set by grotto elves and Event Managers
- Availability to attend an in-person interview at Fairytale Farm on a weekend.
Desirable
- Previous experience in role of Santa, theatre or cosplay at other attractions is desirable, but not essential as training will be given.

- Sunday, 22nd November - 10:00 -17:00 (lunch and comfort breaks)
- Sunday, 29th November - 10:00-18:00 (lunch and comfort breaks)
- Saturday 5th December - 13:35 -19:00pm (comfort breaks)
- Sunday 6th December - 9:00 - 13:20 (comfort break)
- Saturday 12th December - 9:00 - 13:20 (comfort break)
- Saturday 12th December - 13:35 -19:00pm (comfort breaks)
- Sunday 13th December - 9:00 - 13:20 (comfort break)
- Saturday 19th December - 13:35 -19:00pm (comfort breaks)
- Sunday 20th December - 9:00 - 13:20 (comfort break)
Additional info:
- A training day will be provided before opening where you'll also be able to meet the Event Managers and other members of the Fairytale Christmas ‘Christmas with the Clauses’ cast.

Pay: £22.00-£23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10.0 – 20.0 per week
