Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and organised Funeral Arranger to join our dedicated team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in coordinating funeral services with sensitivity and professionalism. This position involves liaising with families, managing logistical arrangements, and ensuring that every detail of the funeral process is handled with care and respect. The role offers an opportunity to provide meaningful support during difficult times while working in a respectful and supportive environment. This is part time hours with the need to flex up to full time to meet the demands and needs of the business , also candidate must be willing to travel to various office locations .
Responsibilities
- Coordinate funeral services from initial consultation through to completion, ensuring all arrangements meet the families’ wishes.
- Liaise effectively with clients, clergy, and service providers to organise logistics such as transportation, venue setup, and documentation.
- Assist families with selecting caskets, flowers, and other funeral products, providing guidance with empathy and understanding.
- Manage administrative tasks including paperwork, scheduling, and record keeping related to funeral arrangements.
- Oversee the transportation of deceased individuals, including heavy lifting when necessary, ensuring dignity and care are maintained at all times.
- Ensure all aspects of the funeral service comply with legal requirements and organisational policies.
- Maintain a respectful environment in all interactions and uphold the organisation’s standards of compassion and professionalism.
- Helping to maintain a clean, safe and tidy workplace.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a customer service or organisational role is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, demonstrating empathy and professionalism in sensitive situations.
- Ability to work flexibly, often under pressure, while maintaining a calm demeanour.
- A respectful attitude towards individuals from diverse backgrounds during their time of need. Pay: From £12.71 per hour
Expected hours: 25.5 per week
